Invisalign

Invisalign is a modern alternative to traditional fixed braces. It is the most precise and advanced orthodontic treatment available today, offering an almost invisible way to straighten teeth.

The system is based on a series of clear, custom-made aligners designed individually for each patient using digital impressions.

During treatment, the patient wears between 12 and 48 specially contoured aligners, depending on the severity of the malocclusion, until the desired alignment is achieved. Each Invisalign aligner is worn for 20 to 22 hours a day and replaced with a new one every 1 to 2 weeks.

One of the key advantages of the system is its discreet appearance, along with the convenience of being able to remove the aligners during meals or when brushing teeth.

What does the treatment process look like?

  • The first step is an orthodontic consultation, during which panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, digital scans, and photographic documentation are taken. If the patient qualifies for treatment, the doctor will present the available options and develop a personalised treatment plan.
  • The patient then receives a set of custom-made aligners, which are worn daily and typically changed every 1 to 2 weeks.
  • Follow-up visits are scheduled every 6 to 8 weeks so the orthodontist can monitor progress and provide the next set of aligners.

Once treatment is complete, a retainer must be worn to help maintain the teeth in their new, corrected position.
